Lukáš Hoder in the Austrian Yearbook on International Arbitration

March 2019

Lukáš Hoder, the head of dispute resolution at CHSH Kališ & Partners, published an article in the Austrian Yearbook on International Arbitration. The article covers the new rules for providing proof in International Business Arbitration, the so-called Prague Rules, which were introduced at the end of 2018. The article compares the new rules of the Prague Rules and the traditional rules for the taking of evidence the International Bar Association, which has been the standard for international arbitrations for many years.

The new rules detailed in the Prague Rules are an ambitious project and can bring a change in the process of proving corruption in international arbitrations. So far, however, it is uncertain whether this change will actually make the arbitration procedure faster and cheaper, as the Prague Rules promise.
